PA 100 and Shoemaker Road Intersection Improvements
Description
The project area is the intersection of PA 100 and Shoemaker Road in Pottstown Borough, the primary access point for the Pottstown Center Shopping Center. The project will widen both Shoemaker Road approaches to PA 100 for additional turning lanes. A second left-turn lane will be provided for eastbound traffic turning north onto PA 100. Westbound traffic will get a right-turn lane also for turning north onto PA 100. Walmart, the anchor store of Pottstown Center, provided funding through Pottstown Borough. Fameco, the developer of the Upland Square Shopping Center at PA 100 and State Street in West Pottsgrove Township, contributed funding for an off-site improvement to that development.
