The ITS department manages the records for the county and also provides copies of some of these records to citizens who request them. Archival Record Retrieval allows the public to search public county records dating back to 1754. The archives department also stores records for all county offices. The Archives follow the County Records Manual for retention schedule of destruction. Records are kept at this facility until such time as they can be destroys or microfilmed for permanent retention. Public Records are available to the public - film and records. (ex. ROW, ROD, Marriage Licenses and Prothonotary are some examples of records that the public is allowed to view. Records from the DA, PD, Payroll and Domestic Relations are not public).
