1) Original Estate papers beginning in 1784 and continuing to about 1992. These include Wills, Administrations and Orphan's Court files and are indexed in the "Estate Index" which employs the "Russell Index" system.

2) Original Marriage Records beginning in October of 1885 and continuing to about six months from the present date. There is an index referencing both Brides and Grooms.

3) Deed Books from 1784 through 1917 (#01 through #754) can be accessed through our Archives with the exception of those books from #220 to #299 which may only be viewed on microfilm at the Recorder of Deeds Office or in Docket Book form at the Historical Society of Montgomery County.

4) Birth & Death Records from 1893 to 1915. These records are actually Physician Returns and do not represent a complete reference work as not all births were recorded. The Death Register exists as microfilm and can be viewed at your convenience.

5) Marriages, Births and Deaths from 1852 to 1855. These records are not complete, but a successful researcher will be astounded by the information listed in these dockets.

6) Delayed Birth Certificates spanning the years 1941 through 1966 although the births generally begin about the latter portion of the nineteenth century.

7) Veteran's Burial Register is a computerized alphabetical listing of all "registered" burials pertaining to veterans buried in Montgomery County.

8) Coroner's Dockets and Inquests exist on microfilm beginning in 1893 and continuing through 1959.

9) Tax Lists beginning about 1790 and continuing to about 1844. These records are on microfilm and are an assessment based on acreage, occupation, cattle, horses and dogs.

Please plan to visit our facility where every effort will be made to aid in using our indexes, but understand that we do not have the staff necessary to perform the research for you.
