MICROGRAPHICS AND ARCHIVES
This department is comprised of three divisions printing, records and microfilm.
The modern print shop handles more than 90 percent of the County's printing needs, which results in substantial financial savings, speed and convenience.
The latest in copying and photographic equipment is used for preserving official records on microfilm. The master copy of all microfilm is stored in a former limestone quarry in Butler County, near Pittsburgh, where temperature controlled storage protects the film from any national emergency and is under 24 hour security. Visitors to the County archives include family researchers, historians, lawyers, news reporters and antique dealers.
