GREEN LANE — The Montgomery County Commissioners are pleased to announce the opening of the Green Lane Connector, a convenient link between Green Lane Borough at Route 29, the Perkiomen Trail and the network of trails throughout Green Lane Park.
The public is invited to attend the dedication ceremony at 1:30 p.m. on September 27, 2006 at the old railroad bridge over the Perkiomen Creek in Green Lane. Parking is available at the County’s Roads and Bridges maintenance yard on Park and Hill Roads.
This connector allows easy pedestrian and bicycle access to the park from Green Lane Borough, making them both even more attractive places for people to visit.
The Connector is part of the Commissioner’s Four Year Trail Development initiative, which will see a total of 29 completed miles of trail by the end of year 2007.
