MONTGOMERY COUNTY PARKS DEPARTMENT RECEIVES STATE AWARD
NORRISTOWN — The Montgomery County Parks Department recently received the Agency Publication & Promotion Award from the Pennsylvania Recreation and Park Society for its "Norristown Farm Park Annual Report 2003."
The award was presented at a ceremony at the 58th Annual PRPS State Conference held at the Hershey Lodge & Convention Center in Hershey, PA.
As development pressure builds every day, the 690-acre Farm Park is preserved, protected and maintained. The Annual Report is a comprehensive document highlighting the complexities and magnitude of this operation. Produced in-house, this 8 ½" X 11" spiral bound report contains photographs, staffing charts, activity reports, project lists and a master plan update.
