RECORDER OF DEEDS OFFICE UNVEILS NEW WEB SITE
NORRISTOWN — The Montgomery County Recorder of Deeds has revamped its Web page to make it easier to use and provide additional information. www.montcopa.org/rod
The Web site increases public access to property records and includes detailed instructions for using the services available.
It also includes the office’s hours of operations, common forms for download, the office mailing address and directions with a map, the office’s requirements for recording an instrument and associated fees.
In addition, users will find convenient links to Web sites for their local municipalities and school districts, state recorder of deed information, the recorder of deed offices in all other Pennsylvania counties.
Sally Marbach, an administrative assistant for an attorney in New Jersey, recently sent the following unsolicited e-mail after using the new site.
"Your website was very thorough and informative. It definitely saved me calling your office to obtain recording information," she wrote.
"I work for an attorney in New Jersey. Our client has property in your county and your website answered all my questions about your filing/recording information. I'm on the web all day and see a lot of county sites both in New Jersey and in Pennsylvania. Yours is definitely the best."
