COMMISSION ON WOMEN AND FAMILIES
SEEKING NOMINATIONS FOR UNSUNG HEROINE AWARD
NORRISTOWN, PA - The Montgomery County Commission on Women and Families is seeking nominations for the 2005 Unsung Heroine Award. The award winner will be recognized at the March 24th meeting of the Montgomery County Board of Commissioners.
"This award recognizes the achievement of a woman who might not otherwise be acknowledged for her commitment to the advancement of women and families by action or example" said Ruthanne Coonhan, committee chair and a Commission on Women and Families member. The award is also in conjunction with Women in History Month.
Nomination forms must be submitted to the Commission on Women and Families by February 22, 2005. Nominees must have resided in Montgomery County at the time the nominated work was accomplished. Current members of the Commission on Women and Families and their relatives are not eligible to receive this award.
