Memory Impairment Program at Royersford Library
ROYERSFORD — The public is invited to attend a two-part program on Memory Impairment in Later Years to be held at the Royersford Library.
Melanie Loder RN, Administrator at the Riverview Adult Day Health Services at Parkhouse (formerly the Montgomery County Geriatric and Rehabilitation Center) and a Certified Memory Impairment Specialist will lead the discussion.
Part One, Introduction to Memory Impairments, will be presented at the library on February 5, 2005 at 10:00a.m. This presentation will explore the definition of memory impairment, the different types of impairments and their causes and usual characteristics.
Part Two, Behaviors in Memory Impairments, will be presented on February 12, 2005 at 10:00a.m. This presentation will discuss behavior patterns unique to the memory impaired. Also, an overview of methods the caregiver can use to decrease undesirable behaviors and ensure patient safety will be given.
Please plan to attend both of these informative, free presentations. Ample time for questions will be included. Light refreshments will be served.
