September 11th Memorial Service
NORRISTOWN The public is invited to attend Hometown Heroes, a dedication ceremony for memorial banners hung at the Montgomery County Court House honoring local members of the Armed Services killed in the Iraq War.
The event is scheduled for noon on September 11th, 2008, the 7th anniversary of the terrorist attack on our nation, on the Plaza Courtyard outside the Main Street entrance to the Court House.
The event is co-sponsored by the Montgomery County Commissioners and the Gold Star Families. It will include a keynote address by Scott D. Wagner, Deputy Adjutant General of the Pennsylvania Department of Military and Veterans Affairs, and a history of the Gold Star Families
The names of the fallen will be read by a family member, followed by the unveiling of each of the 13 banners.
Attached is a list of Montgomery Countys 13 Hometown Heroes.
