NORRISTOWN — The public is invited to come out for the annual “Walk Beside Me” walk on Saturday, May 3rd to celebrate May as Mental Health Month.
William Procyson, a Norristown Borough Council member and a therapist at a local agency, is Grand Marshall for this year’s walk. The event is sponsored by the Montgomery County Offices of Mental and Behavioral Health to promote understanding of mental illness and the idea that people can and do recover.
Registration will be at Building 33 of the Norristown State Hospital beginning at 9 a.m. The Walk will begin at the Swede Street steps of the Montgomery County Court House at 10 a.m. and will end at Elmwood Park.
