COMMITTEE MEMBERSHIP/VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES


CITIZENS ADVISORY COMMITTEE – Twenty-one (21) to twenty-four (24) members, representative of all regions of the County, who advise the Executive Director and County Commissioners on child welfare program, personnel policy, etc. Members meet monthly. Members are appointed by the County Commissioners for four (4) year terms. County residents with interest in serving should send a cover letter and vitae to:

MULTI-DISCIPLINARY TEAM – Volunteer professionals from law, psychology, nursing, clergy, law enforcement, education, social services, etc. meet at least monthly to offer multi-disciplinary consultation to Office of Children and Youth staff on child protection cases. Professionals interested in serving should send cover letter and vitae to:

SUPERKIDS of Montgomery County, Inc. - provides less fortunate youth the opportunity to compete with peers to achieve academic and personal success. Experiences boost self-esteem, confidence and skills. Superkids helps kids reach their potential. Superkids is a charitable, volunteer organization-serving children known to the Montgomery County OCY. The organizations' mission is the support of youth educational and school-related opportunities.
