POSITION: Carpenters Helper DEPARTMENT: Public Property SALARY: $28,590 31,449, depending on relevant experience
RESPONSIBILITIES: Assist the carpenters with basic carpentry work, under their guidance Assist with preparation of tools and materials needed for scheduled jobs Assist with remedial work Clean up job sites, work areas, parts and equipment Complete routine paperwork, as required Other duties, as assigned
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS, ABILITIES & EXPERIENCE: Must be able to lift objects weighing 50 lbs., or more, intermittently Ability to work off of ladders and scaffolds Must be able to work outdoors in all types of weather Will be exposed to high levels of noise Basic knowledge of construction materials, methods and terminology is
required Ability to cooperate and work productively Will be trained as to guidelines for the utilization of safety equipment which
must be maintained, without exception, at all times High School Diploma, or equivalent
