POSITION:         Pension Fund Accountant

DEPARTMENT:   Retirement

SALARY:             $35,426 – 38,968, depending on relevant experience

RESPONSIBILITIES:

·         Prepare supporting schedules and journalize the Retirement Office
  activity (liabilities) on a monthly basis.

·         Prepare supporting schedules and journalize the monthly activity of the
  Pension Fund (assets) by money manager.

·         Maintain a general ledger and a stocks and bonds ledger.

·         Prepare annual financial statement and supporting schedules and journal
  entries for year-end closing.

·         Maintain a record of the daily market balances of the Fund.

·         Reconcile bank account.

·         Other responsibilities, as may be assigned.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:

·         Bachelors Degree in accounting or finance

·         Minimum of 5 years of relevant financial/accounting experience

·         Excellent inter-personal, oral and written communication skills

·         Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

·         Strong background in accounting

·         Must be computer literate; ability to effectively use various financial
  software packages
