The Hero Cop Plaque program is a program that was started in Philadelphia by attorney James Binns in 2001 honoring men and women in law enforcement who have been killed or died in the line of duty. This program has been expanded to Montgomery County, and honors the twenty-six (26) police officers from Montgomery County who have made the ultimate sacrifice and given their life to protect others.
