ABOUT THE CHIEF OF PRE-TRIALS DIVISION

Christopher Maloney, Chief of Pre-Trials Division, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania
                                 
Christopher Maloney has been Chief of the Pre-Trials Division for the Montgomery County District Attorney’s Office since 1999.  As Chief of Pre-Trials, he is responsible for supervising and training newly-hired Assistant District Attorneys.  
 
Mr. Maloney began his career in the District Attorney’s Office as a member of the Sex Crimes Unit, and has continued to prosecute sex crimes cases throughout his tenure.  Prior to this position, he was Chief of the Investigating Grand Jury for four years, during which he conducted dozens of serious investigations that resulted in successful prosecutions.
 
During his career with the District Attorney’s Office, Mr. Maloney has prosecuted over fifty jury trials, the majority of which were homicides, sexual assaults, and other serious felonies.  In 1998, he was awarded the District Attorney’s Medal in recognition of outstanding service to the citizens of Montgomery County.  
 
Mr. Maloney received his undergraduate degree from LeMoyne College and his law degree from Widener University School of Law.
