Thomas W. McGoldrick, Chief of Trials Division, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania

In January 2008, Thomas W. McGoldrick became Deputy District Attorney and Chief of the Trials Division for the Montgomery County District Attorney’s Office.  Mr. McGoldrick rejoined the District Attorney’s Office after spending the past year working for the United States Department of Homeland Security as Assistant Chief Counsel for Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) in the Philadelphia Office. 
 
For the previous nine years, Mr. McGoldrick was an Assistant District Attorney in Montgomery County.  There, he served on both the Major Crimes Unit and the Narcotics Unit before becoming Captain of the Major Crimes Unit.  During his last four years in the District Attorney’s Office, Mr. McGoldrick served as Captain of the Montgomery County Investigating Grand Jury where he assisted the Montgomery County Detective Bureau in investigating many of the most serious crimes in the County.  Mr. McGoldrick was also cross-designated as a Special Assistant United States Attorney for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania.
 
Prior to joining the District Attorney’s Office, Mr. McGoldrick served as the law clerk to the Honorable Bernard A. Moore of the Montgomery County Court of Common Pleas.  Mr. McGoldrick grew up in Lower Merion Township, and is a graduate of The Haverford School, Boston College, and Temple University School of Law.
