Public Education Programs

The District Attorney’s Office is committed to keeping Montgomery County safe and secure; we dedicate considerable resources to protect children and others who are particularly vulnerable to abuse.  However, we can not achieve our mission alone.  The public's support and assistance is a critical component to successful law enforcement efforts.  We have developed multi-media based training programs to help instruct both children and adults about safety issues that impact them and the criminal justice system.   They are generally presented by experienced Assistant District Attorneys and County Detectives throughout the year to various community groups, at no cost, upon request.

Programs designed exclusively for SCHOOLS (parents, teachers, administrators, etc.) include:

  • Alcohol Abuse/Underage Drinking
  • Cyber-bullying
  • Domestic Violence
  • Illegal Drug Abuse/Drug Identification
  • Internet Safety
  • Juvenile Justice System
  • Mental Health Awareness
  • Prescription Drug Abuse video camera icon
  • Teen Driving Safetyvideo camera icon
