SAVIN is Pennsylvania’s Victim Notification System.  It is a state-wide program set up by the Pennsylvania District Attorneys Institute to assist victims of crime.  PA SAVIN is a free, confidential and automated service that helps victims and witnesses, their family and/or friends along with any concerned citizen, to track the status of an offender housed in a county jail or state prison within Pennsylvania, including the Montgomery County Correctional Facility and the State Correctional Institution at Graterford.  PA SAVIN allows Pennsylvania residents to receive real-time information about an offender’s custody status, such as an inmate’s release, transfer or escape.
